Five or six weeks, we'll be listening to what still exists of Heitor Villa-Lobos's series of compositions from the 1920s that he called Choros. They range from No.1, about four minutes long for solo guitar, to No.11, about an hour and a half in three movements for piano and orchestra. Originally there were 15 and an introduction, but somewhere along the line, Villa-Lobos lost the scores to No.12 and No.13. But we'll see what we can do.

Unfortunately, I don't believe that word can function as an adjective or verb, but still. September!
As for the show, now that we've finished up Lizard Music, I think it's time to spend a few weeks visiting the Choroi of Heitor Villa-Lobos. So stand by for that!
